Anji Noh
Violin
Anjelina Noh is a native of Apple Valley, California, and began playing the violin at age 5. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with double degrees in Music Education and Violin Performance, where she studied violin with Movses Pogossian and Varty Manouelian. She currently lives in Lakewood, Ohio, and serves as the Principal Second Violin in the Cleveland Repertory Orchestra. Anjelina frequently freelances throughout the Northeast Ohio area as a violinist and violist with local groups such as OPUS 216, City Six Strings, Premiere Strings, and Classical Revolution Cleveland. She has also appeared as a soloist with the Victor Valley College Orchestra, and currently studies with Cleveland Institute of Music Faculty Emeritus David Updegraff. In her free time, she is a devotee of tournament Scrabble and her 6-year old cat, Maggie.
Maria Viñas
Violin
Maria Viñas is a versatile and accomplished violinist whose career encompasses performance, teaching, and community engagement. Her passion for the violin led her to Cleveland State University, where she studied with Takako Masame of The Cleveland Orchestra. There, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy with a focus on violin performance.
Ms. Viñas has performed with numerous respected ensembles, including the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Toledo Symphony, Mansfield Symphony, Ashland Symphony, Firelands Symphony, Cleveland Women’s Orchestra, and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute of Ohio. She currently continues her professional development under the guidance of former CIM professor David Updegraff. She maintains an active freelance career in the Cleveland area, offering private lessons and collaborating with local artists.
Jerri Lou Lugo
Viola
Cleveland native Jerri Lou Lugo is a Guatemalan-American violist. She is an avid pedagogue and local freelancer. She enjoys teaching violin and viola to all types of students and at all levels both at her private studio and at Royalton Music Center.
Jerri Lou is a passionate chamber musician and has attended various chamber festivals, including Ascent Chamber Festival, Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and Sphinx Performance Academy. As an orchestral performer, she has played with City Music Cleveland, Firelands Symphony, Snowbelt Symphony, Fryderyk Chopin Institute of Ohio, Kaboom Collective, and Cleveland Celtic Ensemble. She completed her BM at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and her Master’s at Boston Conservatory.
When Jerri Lou is not practicing, she enjoys going to the gym, rollerskating, reading manga, growing orchids, and playing with her cats, Clara and Schumann.
McKinley Glasser
Cello
Cellist McKinley Glasser is a Cleveland-based freelancer. She holds a Master's degree from The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a Bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University.
As an orchestral player, she regularly appears with the Canton and Youngstown Symphoni I es and has filled in as acting principal for the Mansfield Symphony, the Ashland Symphony, and the Vienna Light Orchestra. An experienced pit musician, she has played in dozens of opera and musical productions from Cleveland’s Near West Theatre to the West End's Prince Edward Theatre.
Chamber music remains her professional and personal passion; McKinley is the co-founder and co-CEO of City Six Strings, a music contracting business dedicated to providing high-quality chamber music at events nationwide. (www.citysixstrings.com)
